Design Portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio! Here, you will find a limited selection of my work in graphic design. As a passionate and dedicated designer, I strive to create visually engaging and clear deliverables that leave a lasting impression. In this gallery of my work, you will see a variety of projects ranging from branding and logo designs to print and digital media advertising. Each photo represents a unique and creative solution to a specific design challenge. My portfolio is only a small sample of my design abilities since most of my work for the last 5 years was confidential due to non-disclosure agreements, and the content I designed had proprietary information.
Power of a PhD Growth Conference - Full Campaign
The Power of a PhD Growth Conference (Growthcon for short) was a 3-day event held by Cheeky Scientist to empower PhDs. This project entailed not only a full online ad campaign to gain visibility and registrants, but also designing the event logo, company merchandise, name badges, table cards, event activities, flyers, posters, and slide decks for speaker presentations. There was also an associated documentary, in which I supplied the graphical elements for the video in addition to designing the webpage to download it. Copyrighted by Cheeky Scientist.
Advertising
Driving Traffic And Generating Leads Through Organic Media & Paid Marketing
Below are samples of ads I made as the designer of Cheeky Scientist for various projects. Cheeky Scientist owns the copyright for all images.
Ebook Ad Campaign
63 Best Positions For PhDs
This ebook campaign was a special challenge because I had the opportunity to design my first bus-stop ad. They were placed around areas of higher learning institutions on the east side of the US like MIT in Boston, encouraging PhDs/students to take advantage of Cheeky Scientist’s free resource guides. I enjoyed being able to see my designs on the street, having a positive impact on PhD students looking for careers out of academia.
Book Launch Organic Campaign
The Power of a PhD
The book is written by Cheeky Scientist’s CEO & founder Isaiah Hankel, who offered the book to PhDs for free during his live seminars before mass distribution. As a result, the book received feedback early on, and led to insightful reviews, which I was able to transform into eye-catching imagery to further promote the book on social media.
Webinar Promotional Campaign
40 For 5 Power of a PhD Summit
The 40 For 5 Summit was a special webinar event that brought together 40 PhDs in different careers to share their experience, in the form of informational interviews. Due to the large amount of speakers for the summit, their time was limited to 5 minutes per speaker. The challenge here was to figure out which PhDs to highlight in the 'spotlight' ads. We had several of these in two distinct color palettes, and I chose to focus on diversifying by career fields. The event successfully brought together hundreds of PhDs and PhD students, eager to learn from each other’s experiences.
Career Program Ads
With 20+ programs for unique careers, Cheeky Scientist was in constant need of new ads for their programs. The “I AM” series was a particular favorite of mine, utilizing bold typography and clear imagery to capture attention.

Maintained the brand style used in Cheeky Scientist learning materials while designing new diagrams with the content to deliver clean and up-to-date learning materials. Project #3 - Redesign of Career Map Infographic

Web Design
Project #1 - Website design for Overqualified.com
On this project, I worked closely in collaboration with the company's web developer to create a clean, responsive, and visually appealing website with room for growth. The goal was to get the most necessary pages done first so the company could begin generating clients ASAP. Beginning with a homepage, contact us, webinar, ebook, and a blog page — with all their accompanying sequences for lead generation, the wireframes evolved into the mockups you see below.
